Many of us now spend at least some of our time working from home, whilst for others, study or a particular hobby could equally mean many hours are spent at a desk. In any scenario, a comfortable and functional work space is essential, and this solid oak desk is ideal for purpose.
The desk has been very carefully designed to provide an ergonomic piece of furniture which is also highly practical in terms of storage. After all, containing as much of your work as possible within the confines of one unit will certainly help to maintain a tidy and organised work ethic. There is also the added benefit that work items won't be present when they're not needed, during evenings and weekends.
Just below the surface of this computer desk, two large drawers - one on each side - provide ample room for stationery. Below this, the left-hand cupboard can house items such as a printer and scanner and, to provide as much flexibility as possible, you can remove the middle shelf if you wish to store something relatively tall.
The right-hand cupboard, as you can see here, has a number of useful compartments, as well as a handy small drawer. Once again, the shelf on the far right-hand side is also removable, should you need that little bit more height for whatever you're storing within.
At its centre, the desk features a pullout keyboard drawer, which then allows for a computer monitor to be placed a distance away, on the main surface of the desk. This feature is beneficial not only for reducing eye strain but also for posture.
How you sit at a work station is indeed vitally important for both comfort and productivity, and accordingly this desk has a very generous opening for a variety of home office chairs, with a vertical space of 61 cm and a width of up to 58 cm.
A final example of the carefully thought-through design is the positioning and number of holes for cable access. Thanks to this, you won't see any unsightly leads and wires, but instead will work each day at a streamlined and tidy work station.
No assembly is required.
